… Less than a week to go!

There is less than a week before the B2B Luxury & MICE Workshop in Baku and Almaty, we are delighted that you are joining us for this event in two exciting cities. We have put up a dynamic and engaging programme for you to help you get the most out of your visit, including a Gala Cocktail evening after the workshop, so don’t forget to pack your cocktail dress. Costa del Sol is the General sponsor of the B2B workshop this year and will give a destination presentation to local companies, while Switzerland will host the Gala Evening Cocktail, which is an up-graded event taking place 2 hours after the workshop finishes, so it will give you time to freshen up and change into your evening wear.

  • At least 18 brochures for each city
  • At least 25 business cards for each city
  • Your Cocktail dress (for ladies and Evening jacket (for men) for the Evening Cocktail
  • Your inter-cultural skills. Remember both countries are officially Muslim, although they have a highly educated population and liberal interpretation of the religion, not everyone will drink and ladies should be treated respectfully.
  • Remember that travel agents don’t always know your country as well as you do, so don’t forget to explain where you are located and how you can get there from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
  • Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are both completely independent territories from Russia and not involved in anyway in the recent conflict with Ukraine, or Western sanctions. Their economies have been affected by the reduction in the price of oil and Azerbaijan has had a devaluation of their currency.
  • If you have not booked a transfer from Baku airport, you can catch an official cab – a Purple version of the London cab, is should not cost you more than 25 Manat to go to the centre, they can provide a receipt. You can get local currency at the Airport at a cash point or at local currency exchange.
  • Your smile and good humour

Finally remember TMI will provide a free transfer from the Airport in Almaty to the Intercontinental Hotel in Almaty, as we will all arrive on the same flight, so no need to book a transfer from the airport in Almaty!
